Explores the pervasive homophobic rhetoric currently perpetuated by religious fanatic groups, using two examples. The first concerns Amanuel, an 18-year-old Ethio-Australian singer in the competition “The Voice Australia” – the hosts talk about the level of homophobia he currently faces. The second case is the politically motivated homophobic rhetoric associated with the ban on Toto Tours, the same-sex-lover travel agency from the USA. The two incidents have served as an excuse to rile up society and put the already marginalized LGBTIQ+ community in a lot more danger.
